| Surveys of web site viewers (your customers) report that a primary concern of the viewer is that the page load quickly. It doesn't matter if you have the greatest page on the internet, if the viewer (your customer) won't wait for it to load. Average time a viewer will wait ...8 to 20 seconds...then they begin to think about moving on. Internet users are notoriously un-willing to wait around. 8 seconds. Something had better begin happening on that page very soon if you want to keep the interest of your viewer.
Best bet - give them something to read. They came to your page for information, so start giving it to them right away. We could do things that flash and move around, but why? Those type of graphics make your page load slower, in some cases, much slower. Pages that load quickly are vitally important to those viewing your web pages. Images that move and flash may catch the eye initally, but soon become distracting and then quickly prove annoying. In addition, they may not work on many viewers computers, if they happen to have Java or Flash turned off or not loaded. In which case it can leave your web site looking incomplete and non functional. We do not recommend them. There are occasions where a movie or video is the very best way to demonstrate the function or ease-of- use of a product. We are equipped to present the movie or sound recording in a format that allows viewing/listening even while the bulk of the data is still downloading, so your customer doesn't have to wait and wait for the download to finish. In addition, it is a near universal format that does not require the installation of special software to view the movie.
